EurHome:

Europe our shared home

Our Project

Europe, our Shared Home, is a partnership that came to be from the urge to create a new narrative for Europe, allowing its citizens to deal with the modern challenges this old continent has to face.
To cope with them, at school level, we need to work in a new concept of European citizenship that not only renew our interest in our regional traditions, but also promote awareness to ongoing phenomena in Europe, like the migrations' issues, and to cope with the school failure and early leave within each school.
To do so, we created a partnership with schools from France, Poland, Greece and Portugal, and defined a set of cluster themes common to all the partners – in fact, to all Europeans – to research about within each school and to compare with all the schools in the partnership: Democracy, Migrations, the Age of Discoveries, the World War II and Regional Identities. Each school explored in depth one of the clusters during Learning, Teaching and Training Activities allowing students from all the partner countries to become more aware of each subject.

We also engaged in our efforts to promote a new European citizenship all the World Heritage Assets within the range of the partnership (Acropolis, Auschwitz, Mont Saint Michel and Angra Heroísmo).
